Echo Sax was created for USC Kaufman, set to music from Echo Sax, an album composed and performed by Caleb Arredondo. Recorded in the raw, resonant acoustics of a parking structure, the score reveals the saxophone in its most essential form—unfiltered, atmospheric, and deeply expressive.

Centered around a single instrument, the work follows a musical journey that shapes both the dynamic range and structural arc of the choreography. As the sound expands and contracts within its unique sonic environment, the movement responds in kind, exploring texture, space, and emotional resonance through a minimalist yet immersive lens.
