Bass am Wasser II was created for the Hamptons Dance Project as an intimate continuation of the original work, returning to the shores of Gardiners Bay in East Hampton. Reimagined for three dancers, the ballet distills the original concept, focusing more closely on presence, connection, and scale within the natural landscape.
Maintaining the dialogue between nature and movement, the work uses the expanse of water and the surrounding environment to reshape spatial awareness. With music that echoes natural rhythms, Bass am Wasser II invites the audience into a quieter, more concentrated exchange between sound, body, and place—where the vastness of the setting amplifies the intimacy of the dance.
