Bass am Wasser was created for the Hamptons Dance Project in 2022 with an original score by Johannes Goldbach. Set against the backdrop of Gardiners Bay in East Hampton, the ballet explores the relationship between nature and movement, drawing directly from its surrounding environment.

The work integrates the vastness of water and landscape into its choreographic and musical structure, shifting the audience’s perception of space. The score—featuring a metronome pulse and the natural sound of waves—acts as the heartbeat of the ballet, merging the rhythms of the natural world with the language of dance.
